In what was arguably one of the best games of football across this years Grand Final weekend, the undefeated Engadine Dragons took on the Cronulla Caringbah Sharks for the u17 Silver title at Pointsbet Stadium.
The 2 teams had met just a few weeks earlier with the game ending in a nil all draw. Both teams went into the Grand Final with the belief and expectations they could win this years premiership.
The match did not disappoint with both teams bringing out the very best in each other and putting on a showcase worthy of the venue and the occasion. At half time it was 6-6 and at fulltime it would be 12-12 with the game on a knifes edge.
Ultimately it was the Dragons who prevailed after a field-goal charge down bounced back into Engadine's possession close to the line and on the very next play they spread the ball right where the Dragons centre would score in the corner to clinch victory in what was an epic battle by both teams.
