Your Weekly Wrap from Cronulla Junior Rugby League

Round 1 of the 2025 Cronulla JRL season kicked off under blue skies and sunshine last weekend, and what a way to start! Local grounds were buzzing with energy as players, families, and fans packed the sidelines to cheer on their teams. The atmosphere was electric, and the footy didn't disappoint.

🔥 Joeys Start Strong in A-Grade Opener

At Captain Cook Oval, last year’s back-to-back A-Grade premiers, The Joeys, picked up right where they left off with a gritty and exciting win over De La Salle. It was a marquee match for Round 1 and drew a bumper crowd—and an extra buzz of excitement as former Sharks NRL enforcer Andrew Fifita made his A-Grade debut for the Joeys. The current 2025 Tarsha Gale Sharks coach brought all the fire and flair we know him for, and fans were loving every minute of it. If this is a sign of things to come, we’re in for a cracking A-Grade season!

🌤️ Round 2 Incoming – Weather’s Looking Great!

With more perfect weather forecast for this weekend, we’re all set for another round of thrilling junior footy action. So pack the esky, bring your cheer, and get down to your local oval. Round 2 promises more big hits, great tries, and unforgettable moments as our young Sharks give it their all before a well-earned Easter break next weekend.

🎉 Best of Luck to Our Junior Reps in NSWRL Finals

We’re also sending a massive good luck to our Sharks Junior Representative teams who head into Week 1 of the NSWRL Finals Series:

  • SG Ball Sharks (U19 Boys) and Lisa Fiaola Sharks (U17 Girls) take on the Bulldogs tomorrow (Saturday)

  • Tarsha Gale Sharks (U19 Girls) face off against Parramatta this Sunday

For our SG Ball and Tarsha Gale teams, it’s sudden death—so let’s get behind them and show our support. Go get ’em, Sharks! 🦈💪

📣 Team Lists – Power Waste Management Cup (A-Grade)

Don't forget to check out this week’s Power Waste Management Cup team lists to see who’s lacing up in Round 2. Who's in, who's back from injury, and which young gun is getting their first crack at A-Grade?

Enjoy the footy this weekend, play hard, have fun, and make some memories. Whether you're scoring tries or flipping sausages on the BBQ—thanks for being part of the Cronulla JRL community.
