It all starts in earnest on Saturday, 3rd February for the Lisa Fiaola, Tarsha Gale, Harold Matthews and SG Ball Sharks when they host the Balmain Tigers at PointsBet Stadium for the opening round of the NSWRL Junior Representative season.
A home-ground advantage could be telling for all of our junior Sharks teams as they look to get their seasons off to a winning start.
Having won their trial matches in convincing style, the Tarsha Gale Sharks will aim to ride that momentum into the official season with a home victory over Wests Tigers in round one.
While they can expect a much sterner challenge at PointsBet Stadium, the Isaac Michael-coached women will take great confidence from beating the Tigers six tries to nil in an impressive pre-season display only a few weeks ago.
Meanwhile, the Lisa Fiaola side are also gearing up to face the Tigers after going down fighting three tries to one when they met in mid-January.
The Lisa Fiaola Cup was previously run as a gala day, with the 2024 season marking its first time being conducted as a week-to-week female competition.
