Tarsha Gale Sharks well beaten by benchmark Bulldogs

The Tarsha Gale Sharks have endured a barrage of points in their loss against a white hot Bulldogs outfit. The ladder-leading Bulldogs flexed their muscle against an outgunned Sharks side scoring 11 tries in their 56-0 victory.

The Bulldogs led by just 14-0 at the break, however it was one-way traffic in the second period as they showed why they are the team to beat in the Tarsha Gale Cup competition.

Rather than talk negatively about the performance of the Tarsha Sharks, NRLW Coach Tony Herman preferred to praise their wholehearted efforts against the benchmark team of the women’s under-19 competition.

“They got worn down, didn’t control the ball and didn’t have much footy and once the bigger teams get a roll on you like that its hard to hold them out,” Herman said

But the girls were down 30-0 and they’re chasing, they’re making covering tackles, we were having halves having hit ups off their own line. And it was just that we cared about one another.

“I couldn’t be more proud of them. They chased for one another and that showed the true spirit in the team. They’ll learn a lot from that,” Herman added.

The Tarsha Gale Sharks take on the Steelers next Saturday at the Academy Fields at Cronulla High School.
