The Tiny Crocs pre-school program finished its 2022 season a couple of weeks ago by hosting a gala day of sorts inviting the other pre-school junior rugby league programs from around the Shire to join in the fun at Sutherland Oval.
The Tiny Crocs program was started by John Mannah (Cronulla JRL Vice President & Life Member) several years ago and he has championed similar programs which have now spread to other junior rugby league clubs around the the Shire and beyond.
The past few years has seen growth in these types of programs that offer kids an opportunity to socialise and have fun learning some basic concepts of the game and improve their overall gross motor skills.
It was like a carnival atmosphere on the day with kids from the Tiny Crocs (Como), Mini Dragons (Engadine), De La Salle's Munchkins and Bosco Pups all showing up to take part in the fun.
These programs are fantastic for getting younger kids involved in our local clubs and providing them with an interest to come and play junior rugby league once they come of age.
A huge thank you to John Mannah, Hew Ellis (NSWRL) and all of the parents and volunteers who made the day such a huge success. It certainly was a great way to end the season.
